Promoting the Transport Heritage of St Austell |
||
With the china clay industry, farming, fishing, tourism and generally getting about transport came in various modes. Lorries and vans of various types carried goods to and from the station and nearby goods yard. Buses, coaches and taxis served the local population and carried tourists to their hotels, guesthouses and campsites. Much of this transport was operated by local companies both large and small. ![]() The late Mr Cyril Cocks, a well known and respected local coach operator.
